Philippines Employment Visa Information

Philippines Employment Visa Process Overview. 

  • Step 1) Obtain an Alien Employment Permit (AEP) from the Philippine Department of Labour and Employment (DOLE) and a work visa from the Bureau of Immigration- If assignments more than six months. For assignments of six months or less, a Special Work Permit must be obtained from the Bureau of Immigration. 
  • Step2)  Applying for visa stamping at the Philippines Embassy /Consulate.

Documents required for visa stamping 

  • Original Passport with validity of minimum six months and minimum two blank pages for visa stamp. 
    • Photocopy of data and amendment pages of the applicant’s passport. 
    • Attach all your old passports (if any)
  • One visa application form duly filled and signed.
  • Two white background matt or semi matt finish photographs with 60%-80% face coverage and size of the photo shouldbe 35mm x 45mm) 
  • A visa requisition letter stating employer's full name address and telephone no., applicant's length of service and salary details the business letter head stating applicant’s name, designation, passport number, purpose and duration of visit. 
  • Pre-Arranged Employment Visa - from the Philippine Department of Foreign Affairs before this visa can be issued. 
  • Educational certificate copy
  • Experience certificate – if any 
  • Police Clearance Certificate.
  • Medical: Health Certificate issued by authorized physician, including chest x-ray
  • Address Proof- if there is a change in address


Philippines Tourist Visa Information

Documents required from the applicant
  • Passport with minimum six months validity from the date of travel.
  • One visa application form  duly filled and signed by the applicant
  • Two Photos (see the detailed photo specification below )
    • Taken against a white background
    • Without border
    • Glossy or semi-matt finish
    • Size of the photo (35 X 45 mm).
  • A visa requisition letter from the traveller (ensure following information available in covering letter)
    • It should be addressed to” The visa officer Philippines Consulate/ Embassy
    • Purpose of the travel
    • Duration of the stay in each location
  • Original Personal Bank Statement for last six months with applicant's name,address, Bank’s name, Bank’s Telephone Number,Bank's stamp & signature of authorized signatory.and a Letter from the Bank where the company is maintaining the current account
  • Copy of the Income Tax Returns for the past three years.
  • Copy of Credit cards and/or travelers checks or foreign exchange endorsement in passport and receipt. 
  • Proof of accommodation Philippines for the entire duration.
  • Salary slip  for the last three months- if you are employed
  • Leave approval letter  from the employer(Private and Government)–if employed.
  • Airline Reservation : Ticket Itinerary
  • Address Proof: if passport issued outstation
  • If self-employed, photocopy of latest Income Tax Return and copy of Personal Assessment Number (PAN) Card
  • If Student, applicant's Certificate of Enrollment
  • If minor, under 15 years of age traveling alone or to be accompanied by a person other than a parent or not joining a parent in the Philippines: Affidavit of Support and Consent to Travel. The affidavit must be executed by either or both parents indicating traveling companion of minor and address in the Philippines, duly notarized by a local Notary Public, attested by the MEA  and consular officer of the Philippine Embassy. This affidavit must be presented before immigration officials at the port of entry in the Philippines upon the minor's arrival in the Philippines.
  • If Spouse of a Philippine Citizen: Name of Filipino spouse should be indicated in the visa applicant's passport Copy of Report of Marriage issued by the Philippine Embassy or Philippine National Statistics office
  • If Unmarried Minor Child of a Filipino Parent: Copy of Birth Certificate and Copy of Parent's valid passports


Important;
Above listed documents are not a final, consulate has the right to ask additional documents or for Personal appearance.
Time Taken for processing visa: 4 to  6 working days

Please Note:
Indian nationals may be granted visa-free entry for a stay up to fourteen (14) days, provided they possess the following:
A valid U.S.A , Japanese, Australian, Canadian, Schengen, Singapore and U.K. visas or permanent residence permits
Passport with a validity for at least six (6) months, beyond the stay period
Return or onward ticket to the next country of destination
No derogatory record with the Bureau of Immigration (BI),the National Intelligence Coordinating Agency (NICA),and the International Police (Interpol).

  • An invitation letter with all details of the travel, guest and addressed to ” The visa officer Philippines Consulate/ Embassy  (Please ensure following requirements meets  invitation
  • aSpecify the applicant Name, passport no, duration of visit and purpose of travel
  • Contact address, Number and email address of the invitee
  • Copy of the passport
  • Copy of the visa and resident permit
  • Copy of the bank statement with sufficient fund (if sponsoring the travel)
  • Copy of the Income Tax Returns for the past three years and pan card copy
  • Proof of relationship (e.g.: marriage certificate, If spouse visiting husband)- if any
  • Proof of accommodation Philippines for the entire duration.example ; rental agreement -if host is staying in a rented  house
