Important Note;
If intend to be in New Zealand for 6 – 12 months and you equired to submit a Chest X-ray Certificate
If you are funding your own visit, you must demonstrate you have at least NZ$1,000 for each month you intend to be in New Zealand (or NZ$400 per month if you have prepaid your accommodation).
If you are coming to New Zealand for 24 months or longer, including any time that you have already spent in New Zealand, you must provide police certificates from:
•all countries of citizenship, plus
•any countries in which you have lived for five years or more since the age of 17 years.
Health and character requirements are based on your intended length of stay in New Zealand, not the length of visa you are applying for (i.e. if you are intending to spend three years in New Zealand and are only applying for a six month visa initially, you are still required to submit the relevant health and character certificates).
Time Taken for processing visa
Processing time varies according to workload and season mostly taking between 10 to 15 working days. However, it is advisable to submit the visa application 2 - 3 weeks before intended date of travel. If previously, the Applicant has been refused a visa, has been asked to provide additional information or is likely undergo a medical examination, decision on application may take longer.
- Passports must be valid for 3 months beyond intended date of departure from New Zealand

- Two White background Photos(size of the photo 34X45mm)
- A visa requisition letter from the traveller (ensure following information available in covering letter)
- It should be addressed to the respective Embassy Or Consulate . Example-” The visa officer New Zealand High Commission , New Delhi
- Purpose of the travel
- Duration of the stay
- An invitation letter from the host compnay ( Please ensure following requirements meets a invitation
- Specify the applicant Name, passport no, duration of visit and purpose of travel
- Contact address, Number and email address of the invitee
- Copy of the passport
- Personal Bank statement for the last six months- original
- Copy of the Income Tax Returns for the past three years.- if paying for the trip cost
- Salary slip for the last three months- if you are employed
- Leave approval letter from the employer(Private and Government)–if employed.
- If you are self-employed;
- Company registration documents
- Company bank statement
- If a minor accompanied by one parent -A no objection certificate by the other parent and attested by a notary
- If a minor travelling alone -A no objection certificate signed by both parents
- If students travelling - a permission letter from school/college, including phone numbers and address, confirming the leave for specified period of travel
- NOC from the spouse –if the spouse not accompanying
