- Indian, Bangladesh and Maldivians nationals proceeding to Bhutan do not require a visa under any category but must carry proof of identification i. e. Passport and it must be valid minimum six months.
- Visitors can enter Bhutan by road through Indian Territory at the southern border town of Phuntsholing or by Air at Paro.
- If travelling by air, it is mandatory for foreign tourists to avail of Druk Air services at least one way i.e. either on entry or exit. In the Indian subcontinent, Druk Air (Royal Bhutan Airlines) operates from New Delhi, Kolkata, Bangkok, Dhaka and Kathmandu.
- Visitors are required to hold USD 200.- per day for the stay in Bhutan.
Bangladesh nationals required to have multiple entry visas for India if they are traveling to Bhutan from India and again returning to India from Bhutan
