Process Overview
- Step 1: Scheduling appointment with VFS (French visa application centre) for documents submission
- Step 2: On the day of submission VFS will given an interview appointment with the office of the Consulate General of France for the next working day.
- Step 3: The interview appointment is for completing the process of bio metrics It is a MUST for every applicant to visit the Consulate office in person. If your application is complete, processed passports can be collected from the Consulate office on completion of the bio metric process.
Business visa Requirements
- Original Passport
- The passport must be valid for at least three months beyond the intended duration of stay in the Schengen territory.
- The passport should contains at least one double blank page reserved for visa stamping (blank front and back)
- One photocopy of the first and last two pages of the passport and photocopies of valid visa are required
- Old passport or passports –if applicable
- One visa application Form(Down load form) duly filled and signed by the applicant
- Two or three Photos (see the detailed photo specification below )
- Taken against a white background
- Glossy or semi-matt finish
- Size of the photo (35 X 45 mm).
- Face size: 80 % of the photograph should comprise of the face.
- A Covering Letter(visa requisition letter from the Company (ensure following information available in covering letter
- It should be in company’s original letter head with company address on it
- It should be addressed to” The visa officer Consulate General France , Mumbai
- Introduction about the company
- Name and designation of the Applicant
- Purpose and duration of the travel (see allowable activities on business visa)
- Brief sketch of the company to be visited.
- Name, contact number and email address designation of the of the signatory (of a managerial or executive level)
- Invitation Letter from the invitee company in France(Please ensure following requirements meets a invitation )
- It should be printed in invitee company’s letter head
- Specify the applicant Name, passport no, duration of visit(please refer Schengen rule) and purpose of travel
- Contact no and email address of the signatory
- Copy of confirmed airline reservation for onward and return trip e.g. reservation slip.
- Original Overseas medical insurance valid for all Schengen-countries with a minimum coverage of 30,000 EURO. The insurance has to cover all risk e.g. accident, illness, etc.
- Copies of Income Tax Returns of the last 3 year,
- Original Bank statements for the past three months(internet statement is not acceptable)
- Salary slips of the last 3 months
- Confirmed prepaid hotel reservation covering the entire travel duration in Schengen.
- If the applicant wants stay beyond 30 days or applicants traveling for training, the Host Organization need to obtain a clearance from the DDTEFP department of the French Ministry in France and the same has to be submitted along with the application.
